Giving back gets you going forward
Monday 22 November 2010
Greenhouse has launched an exclusive post-15 volunteering programme!
'Give Back Go Forward' offers this year's selected members the opportunity to get involved in any area of our work; enabling them to gain experience and training, meet new people and be a positive role model to other young people. Read on to see if you would like to join us next year...
The Launch

The project launched on Saturday 6th November 2010 with the GBGF team taking part in a London Adventure. The adventure was designed to help the group focus on their team work, communication and problem-solving skills whilst competing against each other to become the challenge champions. Each team had to devise a strategy to earn the most 'Greenhouse millions' before setting off around London in groups looking for clues and completing puzzles and photo challenges.

Give Back Go Forward runs from November 2010 until August 2011, with a break between April and June 2011 for school exams. During the project the team will volunteer with us for a minimum of 20 hours. Their jobs will include helping to run events, coaching sports, doing office work, designing posters, umpiring and refereeing, taking photos, filming and writing for the website.
Mentors from workplaces in London will help the GBGF members record their experience with us, and provide training on CVs, application forms and interviews to help them in the future.
If you would like to take part next year please contact Helen at helen@greenhousecharity.org, or look out for the GBGF team in one of your summer assemblies.
