Under 10s C

Manager DOMINIC BEST and assistant manager ANOUSHKA MCLAUGHLIN have brought out the best in their players and prepared them well for future challenges.

Dominic says:

'This was my first season with Bethwin and being positioned as head coach was a challenge but at the same time a great opportunity for me. I have an U9s squad in a league for U10s so there you could already see a disadvantage. However, the team I have is very competitive and determined to strive for success. I have a great bunch of kids to deal with and each and every one of them has qualities on and off the pitch. At first there were some behaviour and discipline issues but, as time went by, those things were greatly cut down.

'The players have gained a sound knowledge of the game, what it entails and what players' jobs are in different positions. This also shows on the pitch in terms of their jobs and roles as players, which is good because they know what they are doing. The team is improving at a huge rate and they are learning different aspects of football very quickly compared to when I was their age. As they are learning I am learning also and this is a good thing for us as a team because we accept what comes, move on and learn from it. Many players have learnt valuable lessons for the time I’ve been here and for that to happen in only seven months shows that after a couple of years we will be on point and hopefully that will show in our performances.

'I have a great feeling about this team and am looking forward to seeing what we will achieve in future seasons. A special mention has to go out to our number one fan Sandra, thanks for all your help over the season. The boys and I really appreciate everything you have done. Lastly I’d like to say WELL DONE BOYS, see you next season.'

Gabriel Adesoji (Under 10s C player) says:

'We always have fun when we go out and the coaches do fun activities, especially Dominic.'
