Nine-year-old Jac Jenkins finished third at the recent Welsh Under-11 Championships in Cardiff.
Jac, who has been playing for 14 months and attends Ysgol Evan James regularly trains with the Welsh squad at half term time and holiday programmes.
Jac is following in his father’s shoes, 9 times Welsh Champion and former Commonwealth Gold medallist Ryan Jenkins.
'I want to be Welsh number one and play for Wales when I get older. It will be nice to be famous and everyone knows who I am in Wales,' said the youngster.
His cousin, ten-year-old Soffi Jenkins finished sixth. She has been playing for 12 months, also attends Ysgol Llwyncelyn and has just been selected to train with the Welsh Squad at half term camps.
Jac and Soffi are part of the Greenhouse Wales Academy in Rhondda Cynon Taff.
